The Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia or MyIPO
was established in 2003 to improve Intellectual
Property Rights (IPR) registration, management and protection systems.
This is important in the globalization era since involvements in any
Free Trade Agreements provide the opportunity for local inventors and
entrepreneurs to market their products internationally. Therefore, an
intellectual property right is required to protect the interest of
inventors, as well as to encourage innovation and technology transfer.
