The
Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation (MIPC)
which is governed by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, is
an agency responsible for administering, supervising and handling the
management concerning intellectual property offered by the ministry.
Intellectual property refers to intellectual creations, particularly
technological inventions and literary and artistic works. Inventions and
works protected under the copyright protection can be used only with the
consent of the inventor, author or the owner of the rights. The protection
of intellectual property encourages further innovation and creativity.
