Before Starting a Business

The Government of Malaysia encourages the participation of every level of society in the economic development.  It has established a solid support structure in assisting entrepreneurs set up a company as well as offering assistance in financing, managing and growing the business.

If you have made a decision to start a business, the first step that you should take is to prepare a business plan. To assist and guide new and existing entrepreneurs in planning their business, the following Government agencies have established various development programmes.

  • Malaysian Entrepreneurship Development Centre (MEDEC)
  • Small-and-Medium Enterprises (SME) Development Programme by SMIDEC
  • MSC Technopreneur Development
