Registration Procedure for Partnership
- You and your partner/s must complete a separate Form A obtained from
the CCM
- The forms should be verified by either a Member of Parliament, a
lawyer, or a Commissioner of Oaths or other professional
- Submit the forms with a copy of your identification card
- Pay RM60 if the chosen name bears the trade name of RM30 if you use
your given names
Renewal of Certificate of Partnership Registration
The certificate of registration is valid for one year from the date of
issue. You should complete Form A1 to renew the certificate. You will be
charged RM60 if you use a trade name and RM30 if you use your given name.
You are granted a 30-day grace period to renew your certificate of
registration following the expiry date. A compound can be issued for late
renewals.
To renew your certificate at the post office, you will have to do the
following:
- Application must be submitted within 30 days before expiration date
- You have not more than 5 branches
- No compound has been issued on the business
- The business is not blacklisted
- Bring along the old copy of the certificate
Changes or Additions in Business Particulars
If you have to change or add any particulars, you should make an
immediate application to the CCM. You should obtain Form B for Changes in
Business Particulars. There are four types of Form B
- B1 for change of principal business address
- B2 for change of nature of business
- B3 for change of branch particulars
- B4 for ownership particulars
You will be charged RM20 for each Form B registration. An additional RM5
will be charged for each branch.
