Registration Procedure for Sole Proprietorship

1. Obtain the Trading License Application Form (Section 5) from the town, municipal, city or district council.
2. Complete the form  
3. Submit the form with a copy of your identification card, tenancy agreement and receipt of property assessment
4. The above documents should be verified by a judge or a magistrate or lawyer, Justice of Peace, or Commissioner of Oaths.
5. Pay a registration fee of RM25 and RM5 for both trade and given name.

Renewal of Trading Licence

The trading licence is valid from the registration date until 31 December every year. New applicants are charged a pro-rated registration fee based on the date of your application.

1. You should obtain Form P.L.B(1) from either the town, municipal, district or city council. 
2. Complete the form
3. Submit the form with renewal fee of RM25 and your old trading licence

Changes or Additions in Business Particulars

For any changes in business particulars:

1. Obtain Form C from the town, municipal, district or city council
2. Complete the form
3. RM2 processing fee will be charged
