A Muslim couple need to follow some prcedures before they can wed. The intended couple needs to follow the marriage administrative procedures according to Islamic Laws as well as undergo a marriage course at any centre certified by the State Religious Affairs Department. An application for marriage needs to be forwarded to the authority concerned. There should also be confirmation by the relevant authority regarding the marital status of the couple.
