His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim

Background & Education
- Born on 22 November 1958 at Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Johor Bahru.
- Eldest son of the late Sultan Iskandar and the late Enche’ Besar Hajah Khalsom.
- Received early education in Johor Bahru, then continued studies in Australia and at Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar (English College).
- Also pursued studies in Southeast Asian strategic affairs and international law at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, United States.
Military Training & Experience
- Underwent military training at PULADA in Kota Tinggi, Fort Benning in the United States, and the Airborne Ranger School.
- Completed 19 parachute jumps, including night training, and was commissioned as a commando and SEAL member.
- Conferred as an honorary member of Indonesia’s KOPASSUS.
- Trained as a helicopter pilot with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and received naval training with the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) in Lumut, making His Majesty a qualified officer in all three branches of the armed forces.

Served in various Johor government departments, including:
- State Secretary’s Office (SUK)
- Treasury Department
- Urban Planning Department
- Forestry and Agriculture Department
Royal Life
- Proclaimed as the Tunku Mahkota of Johor on 3 July 1981.
- Married Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah in 1982 and blessed with six children.
- Served as Regent of Johor (1984–1989) when his late father was the 8th Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
- Proclaimed Sultan of Johor on 23 January 2010, and enthroned on 23 March 2015.
