All types of licenses must be renewed according to their validity periods.
Types and Renewal Periods:
- LDL (Learner’s Driving License): 3 or 6 months (max. 2 years)

Licenses that have expired for more than 3 years are invalid, inoperative and non-renewable (except for LDL). License holders will have to repeat the entire process of applying for a driving license from the beginning.
PDL licenses are non-renewable after holding the license for a 2-year maturity period. Holders must convert to a CDL license within 1 year.

Digital License:
After applying/renewing LDL/PDL/CDL, drivers can use the digital version via the MyJPJ app.
