Linguistic meaning : Derived from the Arabic word meaning pure, fertile, clean, blessed, and growth. Shariah meaning : Zakat is the act of giving away specific wealth at a specific rate according to specific conditions to be distributed to specific groups. There are various channels available for paying zakat if you have fulfilled the conditions required by Shariah.
