In addition to its general membership, RELA also extends volunteer opportunities to university students through the RELA Student Brigade (RELASIS), which has been established at selected public universities and higher education institutions across Malaysia.
The primary objectives of RELASIS are to:
- Foster patriotism, discipline, and the spirit of volunteerism among university students.
- Develop leadership qualities, character, and essential soft skills.
- Provide exposure to security awareness, disaster management, and community service.
RELASIS membership is open to registered students of higher education institutions, subject to the eligibility requirements set by RELA and their respective institutions.
