Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, The Queen Consort of Malaysia

Background & Education
- Born on 14 August 1959 in Batu Gajah, Perak.
- Daughter of the late Sultan Idris Shah II and the late Raja Perempuan Muzwin.
- Received her early education in Kuala Kangsar and later studied at Cheltenham Ladies’ College, England.
Graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford in 1983.
Interest in Arts & Writing
Inherited her artistic talent from her father and participated in several art exhibitions.
Previously wrote for the New Straits Times and The Star, and has published four children’s books.
Royal Life
Married His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim on 22 September 1982 and established their household in 1983.
The Royal Couple is blessed with six children (five princes and one princess).
Role as Queen Consort
Proclaimed Queen Consort of Johor on 23 March 2015.
