Some organisations or companies provide facilities and allowances as incentives for training and services to students. However, these facilities or allowances depend on the policies of the organisation or company.
Examples of facilities and allowances:
- Government Agencies
Practical training allowance: RM5/hour (8 hours/ day) for each working day
Limited to a maximum of 90 working days
Subject to available allocation

There is no mandatory rate, but some programmes support companies in providing allowances to industrial training students:
- Industrial Training Scheme (ITS):
Allowance up to RM500/month from employers registered under HRD Corp
- National Structured Internship Programme (MySIP)
A Talent Corporation programme for companies offering industrial training to students with the following minimum rates:
RM600/ month: Master’s, Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diploma in Malaysian Skills (DLKM), Professional Certificate, or equivalent
RM500/ month: Diploma, Diploma, Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 1–3, or equivalent
