Malaysian Armed Forces Council- Federal Statutory Body
Federal Statutory Body is an agency within a ministry that is formed in accordance with certain powers and acts under the provisions of Act of Parliament.

State Public Service Commission (SPAN) is a body established by the state government under the provisions of the respective state laws to manage the affairs of the state civil service.

A State Statutory Body is an agency formed in accordance with certain powers and enactments under the provisions of a State Legislative Assembly Enactment.
Examples of State Statutory Bodies:
- Local Authorities (PBT)
Local Authorities (PBT) are government bodies at the local level that are responsible for administering and managing their administrative areas in accordance with existing legal provisions.
PBT has the power to appoint officers and staff to meet daily operational needs. However, this is subject to the approval and control of the State Government, especially for permanent appointments, promotions, and restructuring of the position structure.
