General guidelines for preparing a resume:
- Take advantage of online resume templates/generators
- Using keywords in your resume to attract the attention of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Use keywords taken from the job description and match them to your skills
- Avoid too many graphic formats that hinder ATS scanning
- Make sure the document is in an ATS-friendly format such as PDF
