Special Education Schools are schools that provide special education for students with special educational needs (MBPK) at all levels of schooling. These schools are directly managed by the Special Education Division, MOE.
The schools established for special education are equipped with facilities such as therapy rooms, teaching aids and trained teachers.
List of Special Education SchoolsPrograms provided for MBPK in Malaysia:
- Special Education Integration Program (PPKI)
A special program in mainstream schools for MBPK.
Students are placed in special classes but share the same environment with other students.
Offered at both primary and secondary levels nationwide.

Unlike PPKI, MBPK are given the opportunity to study in mainstream classes with peers, with learning support and adjustments according to individual needs.
