The Senior Citizens Activity Centre (PAWE) is a place where senior citizens carry out daily activities within the community.
It is a social outreach and developmental service for senior citizens involving strategic collaboration between the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM), other government agencies, and NGOs.
Examples of activities offered:
- Aerobics, Tai Chi, yoga
- ICT classes, handicrafts, cooking, and sewing
- Health and religious talks
- Educational visits and community service
- Social support and outreach programmes
Who can join?
- Senior citizens aged 60 and above
- Healthy and able to move independently
- Reside near PAWE centres
- Family members, volunteers, NGOs, and the community may also be involved as activity contributors
