The Voluntary Patrol Scheme (SRS) is a scheme applied for by a group of at least 20 residents aged 18 years and above on a voluntary basis. It is established to ensure that the community remains safe and secure from criminal activities and social problems through patrol and crime prevention activities.

Main duties of SRS members:

• Patrol within the area as determined by the Rukun Tetangga Area Committee
• Guard the Area Centre at any time as determined by the Director
• Guard any premises, place or location within the area as required by the Director.

Applications to operate an SRS throughout or within part of an area must be submitted to the Rukun Tetangga Area Committee.

Applications may be submitted online or manually through the prescribed channels.
