Rakan Muda Volunteers is an initiative under Rakan Prihatin, one of the 10 Rakan Muda lifestyle pillars that promotes and nurtures the spirit of volunteerism.
Rakan Muda Volunteers are:
- Individuals aged 15 to 30 years
- Malaysian citizens
- Volunteers who participate in programmes organised by the Rakan Muda Development Division, National Department of Youth and Sports (JBSN), Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS)
Rakan Muda Volunteers also play an important role in fostering empathy, teamwork, and social responsibility among Malaysian youth.
Activities carried out under the Rakan Muda Volunteers programme include:
- Community volunteering
- Providing assistance to those in need
- Welfare and humanitarian programmes
- Disaster relief assistance
- Social and community awareness activities
