The Malaysian Driving License (LMM), issued by the Road Transport Department (JPJ), is divided into several classes according to the type of vehicle.

Class A Driving License for Disabled Persons (Motorcycle)
Eligibility
- 16 years old and above
- Holder of an OKU (Disabled Persons) card certified by the Department of Social Welfare (JKM)
- Not blacklisted by JPJ or PDRM
- Must undergo a medical check-up by a qualified medical practitioner
- Must obtain confirmation from JPJ’s Automotive Engineering Division for vehicle modifications for OKU
Class A1 Driving License for Disabled Persons (Motorcar)
Eligibility:
- 17 years old and above
- Holder of an OKU card certified by JKM
- Not blacklisted by JPJ or PDRM
- Must undergo a medical check-up by a qualified medical practitioner
- Must obtain confirmation from JPJ’s Automotive Engineering Division for vehicle modifications for OKU
Class B2 Driving License (Motorcycle ≤250cc)
Eligibility:
- 16 years old and above
- Physically and mentally healthy
- Not blacklisted by JPJ or PDRM
- Must meet JPJ’s requirements
Class B Driving License (Motorcycle >500cc)
Eligibility:
- 16 years old and above
- Physically and mentally healthy
- Not blacklisted by JPJ or PDRM
Must meet JPJ’s requirements
Class D/DA Driving License (Motorcar BTM < 3,500kg)
Eligibility:
● 17 years old and above
● Physically and mentally healthy
● Not blacklisted by JPJ or PDRM
● Must meet JPJ’s requirements
Class E Driving License (Heavy Motorcar BTM > 7,500kg)
Eligibility:
● 21 years old and above
● Holder of a Competent Driving License (CDL) Class D for at least 1 year
● Physically and mentally healthy
● Not blacklisted by JPJ or PDRM
● Must meet JPJ’s requirements
Lesen Vokasional
Vocational License – PSV (Public Service Vehicle)
Purpose: To drive public service vehicles such as taxis, rental cars, e-hailing, buses, and school vans.
Eligibility:
- 21 years old and above
- Holder of a valid Competent Driving License (CDL) Class D/DA (for taxis)
- Holder of a valid CDL Class D for more than 1 year (for buses)
- Must undergo a medical check-up by a qualified medical practitioner
- Not blacklisted by JPJ or PDRM
- Must meet JPJ’s requirements
Vocational License – GDL (Goods Driving License)
Purpose: To drive goods vehicles such as heavy motorcars (lorries), motorcars, and motorcycles.
Eligibility:
- 21 years old and above
- Holder of a valid Competent Driving License (CDL) in the relevant class (B2/B/C/D/E/E1/E2) for more than 1 year
- Must undergo a medical check-up by a qualified medical practitioner
- Must meet JPJ’s requirements
