The Rahmah Cash Contribution (STR) is a direct financial aid initiative by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (LHDNM) for low-income groups. This assistance is part of the Malaysia MADANI agenda to ease the people’s cost of living.
Recipient Categories:
- Households
- Malaysian citizens residing in Malaysia
- Gross monthly household income RM5,000 and below
- Married couples or single parents/widows/widowers with children who meet eligibility criteria
- Elderly Without Spouse
- Malaysian citizens residing in Malaysia
- 60 years old and above
- Gross monthly income RM5,000 and below
- Single, widowed, or widowers without children
- Single
- Malaysian citizens residing in Malaysia
- Single, or single parents/widows/widowers without children
- Aged 21 to 59 years (or 19 years and above for PWDs)
- Not a full-time IPTA/IPTS student
- Gross monthly income RM2,500 and below
Payment Rates (general):
The STR payment rate depends on income and number of children. The following are the general payment rates:
- Households with no children: RM500 – RM1,000/year
- Households with 1–5 children: RM750 – RM2,500/year
- Elderly without spouse: RM600/year
- Single: RM600/year
Payment Methods:
- Direct bank transfer
- Cash at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) counters for recipients without bank accounts
