Malaysia Short-Term Employment Programme (MySTEP) The Malaysia Short-Term Employment Programme (MySTEP) is a government initiative that offers short-term (contract) employment opportunities across various ministries, government agencies, Government-Linked Companies (GLCs), Government-Linked Investment Companies (GLICs), and strategic industry partners. Its aim is to enhance employability and accelerate job placement for Malaysians. Key Features Duration : Minimum of 1 month , up to a maximum of 12 months Eligibility : Open to Malaysian citizens aged 18 years and above , with various qualifications such as SPM, Diploma, STPM, or Degree Contract & Salary : Based on the offered placement, with a minimum salary of RM1,700
PROTÉGÉ (Professional Training and Education for Growing Entrepreneurs) is a youth development initiative that aims to increase the marketability of graduates and produce young entrepreneurs. This program is supervised by the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (KUSKOP) in collaboration with agencies and industry. Among the programs under PROTÉGÉ: Graduate marketability program through soft skills training, industry exposure and mentor guidance. Target: Diploma graduates and above or those who have worked but are not equivalent to their qualifications Benefits: Industrial training opportunities and real career exposure Monthly allowance throughout the specific training period Guidance from industry mentors & successful entrepreneurs Opportunity to be absorbed into the implementing company Graduate Capacity and Employability Enhancement Program (GRACE) is a employability program for TVET graduates Target: Unemployed TVET graduates Under 30 years old Never participated in the PROTEGE-RTW programme New Gen Entrepreneurs Online Bootcamp (N-GENE) is an entrepreneurship training program for youth and graduates to start their own businesses. PERKESO (SOCSO) provides training and skills development programmes for Employment Insurance System (EIS) beneficiaries and job seekers. For EIS benefit recipients, you may receive a daily allowance of up to RM20 when you attend approved training programmes. Open to: Individuals with skills outside the formal sector Experienced workers who have lost their jobs or had their salary reduced by up to 30% Unemployed individuals or graduates The programme offers digital freelancing skills training and provides a safe platform to secure online freelance jobs.
The Madani Training Programme (PLM) is a reskilling and value-added training initiative by HRD Corp for job seekers, delivered through several targeted programmes. Key Initiatives under PLM: Seniors Back in Action (SEBA) An initiative for senior citizens who wish to upskill and re-enter the workforce after retirement. Second Chances and Opportunities for People to Excel (SCOPE) A practical and vocational skills programme for formerly incarcerated individuals, providing job opportunities and reintegration into society.
