Malaysia is a federal country located in Southeast Asia. The two main regions are separated by the South China Sea, namely Peninsular Malaysia (bordered by Thailand to the north and Singapore to the south) and East Malaysia (the northern part of Borneo Island bordered by Indonesia to the south and Brunei to the north). 

Coordinates: near the Equator, at Latitudes 1˚ and 7˚ North and Longitudes 100˚ and 119˚ East.
