The People’s Housing Program (PPR) is a Federal Government initiative through the Ministry of Local Government Development (KPKT) to provide comfortable, safe, and affordable housing for low-income groups in Malaysia.
There are 2 categories of PPR:
- PPR for Rent – rented at RM124 per month.
- PPR for Ownership – selling price between RM35,000 – RM42,000 per unit (depending on location).
House Features:
- 700 square feet in size
- 3 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchen & 1 bathroom
- Basic facilities such as community hall, surau, playground, and shop
Eligibility Criteria:
- Aged 18 and above
- Household income not exceeding RM3,000 per month
- Does not already own a house
- Must reside in the area of application
