Rumah Mesra Rakyat (RMR) Programme is a government initiative implemented through Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) to help low-income households own comfortable and safe homes on their own land.
This programme enables eligible applicants to build a house on their own land with a monthly repayment of only RM300, over a period of 16 to 25 years.
Eligibility requirements:
- Malaysian Citizen
- Aged 18 – 65 years
- Household income not exceeding RM5,000 per month
- Applicant and spouse do not own their own house or existing house is not in good condition
- Own own land or have written permission from the land owner to build a house
- Land area not less than 3,000 square feet
