PersonaPerson with Disabilities

The following is the registration procedure for Persons with Disabilities (OKUs) in Malaysia:

New Registration:

1. Eligibility requirements

Malaysian citizens

Certified by a government medical expert to have a permanent physical, mental, learning, hearing, speech, vision or various disabilities.

Documents required:

• Application Form for Registration of the Disabled (BPPOKU) (Amendment 2/2019)

• A verification report certified by a medical specialist at a government or private hospital/ clinic

• A copy of MyKad (adult) or birth certificate (for applicants under 12 years old)
  

2. How to apply

There are two ways to register:

• Manually

Submission of BPPOKU documents (Amendment 2/2019) at the JKM counter for the registration process

• Online via MyDaftar OKU

3. OKU Card 

Applicants will receive an OKU Card indicating their disability category.

This card can be used to obtain facilities and privileges specific to OKUs.
