MyCHAMPION is a health volunteer programme where registered and trained volunteers help disseminate health information, promote healthy lifestyles, and encourage environmental sustainability within their communities.
Background
The MyCHAMPION programme was introduced in 2020 with the participation of volunteers from seven entities under the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH):
- COMBI
- KOSPEN
- Know Your Medicines Ambassador (DKUA)
- Dental Icon Programme
- Health Clinic Advisory Panel (PPKK)
- Village Health Representative (Sarawak)
- C-HAT Master Trainers (JU C-HAT)
Roles of MyCHAMPION:
- Educate, empower, and mobilise individuals, families, and communities to adopt healthy lifestyles and promote environmental sustainability
- Conduct behavioural change intervention activities to prevent and control disease risk factors
- Carry out advisory, reminder, guidance, and awareness activities to encourage communities to continuously practise healthy living
- Serve as community role models in promoting healthy lifestyle practices
Eligibility Criteria:
Open to all individuals aged 18 years and above.
MyCHAMPION Registration:
Register through the MySejahtera application.
After registration, the MyCHAMPION training kit, which includes digital handbooks, videos, and website links for reporting volunteer activities, will be sent via email.
