Compassionate Cash Assistance (BWI) is a financial aid programme provided by the Government to individuals affected by disasters, particularly floods and other natural disasters officially declared by the District Disaster Management Committee Chairperson or the relevant authorities.
The assistance is coordinated by the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) in collaboration with state governments, district authorities, and relevant agencies to help ease the financial burden of disaster victims during the recovery process.
