What is LKM? The Motor Vehicle License (LKM), commonly called road tax , is issued by JPJ to allow vehicles to operate on public roads. Renewal can be made by the registered owner or their representative. Conditions for Renewal: Active vehicle insurance (min. 1 year) Pass inspection at PUSPAKOM/PPKM (for certain vehicles like commercial or >10 years old) Not blacklisted by JPJ or PDRM Digital Road Tax (e-LKM): Starting in 2023, JPJ has introduced e-LKM (Digital Motor Vehicle License), replacing physical stickers. Accessible via MyJPJ app or MySIKAP portal. Not mandatory to display physical sticker (except for commercial vehicles).
