The Rahmah Basic Contribution (SARA) is a government initiative to help the poor and hardcore poor obtain basic necessities.
It is an extension of STR and is implemented in collaboration with Yayasan MyKasih using a cashless system via MyKad.
Eligible Recipients:
- Hardcore poor/poor (STR recipients with eKasih records)
- Non-hardcore poor/poor (STR recipients)
Assistance Amount:
- Depending on the recipient category, up to RM2,100 per year for the extremely poor/poor

Implementation Method:
- Aid credited to recipients’ MyKad
- Recipients scan MyKad at participating grocery stores/supermarkets
- Examples of Basic Goods Covered:
- Bread, eggs, cooking oil, flour, biscuits, instant noodles, canned food, condiments
- Personal hygiene products, household cleaning products
- Medicines
- School supplies
