School-Based Assessment (PBS) consists of two categories, namely:
- Academic
Classroom Assessment (PBD)
An assessment system that is implemented continuously in the classroom to measure student progress and achievement throughout the learning session.
Final Academic Session Exam (UASA)
Examination to assess students' academic achievement at the end of the school session
- Non-Academic
Physical Activity, Sports and Co-Curricular Assessment (PAJSK)
Assessment of student achievement in extracurricular activities with an emphasis on physical development, leadership, and student co-curricular participation.
PAJSK components consist of:
- Co-Curriculum (Sports, Clubs and Uniformed Bodies)
- Extra Curricula
- SEGAK (National Physical Fitness Standards)
PAJSK contributes to merit scores to specialized schools such as Fully Boarding Schools (SBP) and MARA Junior Science Colleges (MRSM).
Psychometric Assessment
Measuring students' natural abilities, thinking skills, problem-solving skills, interests, inclinations, attitudes and personalities.
